SPORTING CP’S NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 CELEBRATION

To celebrate Sporting CP’s back-to-back championship victory, OCUBO created a large-scale artistic celebration that illuminated the city of Lisbon. The event transformed iconic urban spaces into stages of emotion, identity, and collective pride, uniting players and supporters in a unique shared moment.

The ceremony began at Estádio José Alvalade, where a monumental projection in the shape of the club’s crest covered the pitch. Lasers, light compositions, and visual narratives brought key moments of the season to life, paying tribute to the team and its journey.

The celebration then expanded into the streets of Lisbon, where video mapping accompanied the champions’ route. A luminous lion, the symbol of Sporting, leaped across building façades, running alongside the team and thousands of supporters.

The grand finale took place at Marquês de Pombal Square, where immersive projections filled the statue and surrounding architecture. An 8-metre-high trophy became the centerpiece of the celebration, surrounded by aerial dancers and culminating with the appearance of a luminous lion’s sculputure head, a powerful symbol of triumph.
